Regional Seminar, Riga, Latvia, 2012
On the 1st February, 2012 in Riga was held a regional seminar "Use of biogas as vehicle fuel in Public Transport" organized by Riga City Council Traffic Department within the EC supported Project "Baltic Biogas Bus". Seminar was attended by 58 participants among whom were the representatives of ministries, local authorities, bio energy associations and companies working with bio energy issues, as well as passenger transport companies.

The world is facing increased demand for transportation at the same time that fossil fuel resources are diminishing. On top of this, concern for climate change due to the emission of green house gases is growing. This has boosted the interest for investments in new energy technologies. One technology gaining widespread recognition is that of producing biogas. The Baltic Biogas Bus project aims to prepare for and increase the use of the eco-fuel biogas in public
transport. In an interview for Eurotransport, along with other members of the project, Lennart Hallgren, Project Manager and Advisor at Stockholm Public Transport (SL) and Manager of the Baltic Biogas Bus project, explains how this project can help reduce environmental impact from the traffic and make the Baltic region a better place to live, work and invest in.

Regional Seminanar 22nd of September in Kaunas, Lithuania
On the 22nd of September 2010 a regional seminar of the Baltic Biogas Bus project was held in Kaunas.
In conjunction with a partner meeting in Kaunas, the project partner JSC "Buses of Kaunas", organized the seminar.
The seminar attracted approxemately 60 participants. It was an excellent opportunity to obtain more knowledge about biogas and to present the BBB-project.

Regional seminar for the Baltic Biogas Bus project 10th of March 2010 in Oslo Norway
On the 10th of March 2010 the first regional seminar of the Baltic Biogas Bus project was held in Oslo.
In conjunction with a partner meeting in Oslo, the BBB-project, through the project partner Ruter AS, acted as a co organizer of the Nordic Biogas Conference between the 10th and the 12th of March.
The Nordic Biogas Conference, which is a biannual event, attracted approxemately 200 participants. It was an excellent opportunity to obtain more knowledge about biogas and to present the BBB-project.

Launch Event in Tartu
On the 1st of December 2009 the project´s Launch event was organized in Tartu, Estonia. In the welcome speech, Mr. Jaanus Tamkivi, the Minister of Environment in Estonia, stressed the importance of the Baltic Biogas Bus project to mitigate climate change in Europe and Estonia.
