Regional seminar with the topic "Biofuels" in connection with the Conference Problem of Recykling 2011. The seminar was held 5-8 October 2011, in Józefów near Otwock, Poland.

On the initiative of the polish partner Motor Transport Institute, MTI, and the Institute of Industrial Chemistry named prof. I. Moscicki, with the support of the Polish Association of Scientific Recycling, held on 5-8 October 2011 in the conference center "Holiday Inn" in Józefów near Otwock, was organized the International Scientific-Technical Conference "Problems of Recycling 2011".

Co-organizers of the conference were also: Warsaw University, Warsaw Agricultural University, the Military Technical Academy and Institute of Polymer Materials Engineering and Dyes.

Conference was chaired by Dr. Eng. Andrzej Wojciechowski, Director of MTI, president of the Polish Association of Scientific Recycling.

Among the invited guests there were international specialists and polish parliamentarians. Participation in the conference was also enriched by project partners whitin the EU project Baltic Biogas Bus.

The conference covered the following topics:

  • legals, organizational and economic
  • recycling technologies, including technologies from the area: polymer materials, batteries, ferrous and nonferrous metals and their alloys, nonmetallic materials (including textiles, ceramics, glass and paper)
  • machinery and equipment for recycling
  • biorecyklingu and biofuels
  • perspectives, objectives and strategy in the area of recycling.

The Baltic Biogas Bus project is supported by the EU, is part of the Baltic Sea Region programme and include cities, counties and companies within the entire Baltic region.
