Regional Seminar in Riga, Latvia

On the 1st February, 2012 in Riga was held a regional seminar "Use of biogas as vehicle fuel in Public Transport" organized by Riga City Council Traffic Department within the EC supported Project "BalticBiogasBus".

On the 1st February, 2012 in Riga was held a regional seminar  ”Use of  biogas as vehicle fuel in Public Transport”  organized by Riga City Council Traffic Department within the EC supported Project "BalticBiogasBus". Seminar was attended by 58 participants among whom were the representatives of ministries, local authorities, bio energy associations and companies working with bio energy issues, as well as passenger transport companies.

The seminar was opened by Vadims Baranniks, Chairman of Riga City Council Transport and Traffic Committee. In the seminar the reports were given by the Project partners - Lennart   HALLGREN, Project manager at SL, Sweden, Anneli Walden , Project coordinator  at SL, Sweden, Nelson Rojas, HOG Energi, Mikolaj Krupinski, MTI, Poland, Timo Murtonen, VTT , Finland, Jaanus Tamm, Tartu City Council, Estonia, Manfred Grigo, ITC Rostock, Germany, as well as  representatives from the Ministry of  Environment of Latvia, Biogas association of Latvia, North Vidzeme Waste Management organization, Ltd Ekodoma (EU supported project Biogasin”) etc.

There was a press-briefing - Lennart Hallgren, Project manager at SL, Sweden, Olita Sproge, Riga City Council Traffic Department, Latvia and Andis Karklinš, Biogas association of Latvia gave the interviews on seminar discussed issues.
